Due to the washability of Sofnex, the cost saving can be as much as five times the cost of a foam based product. The introduction of coloured protectors makes the necessity of expensive cosmetic covers used on other protectors non-essential, therefore saving money for the patient.

Humidification:
The humidification is achieved by moisture exchange resulting from the combination of hydrophilic and hydroscopic yarns.

Infection Control:
The blue and beige bibs are coated with an anti-bacterial agent to help prevent infection.
